Golf Instruction
John Clay is the Woodlake Golf Course General Manager. He has more than 30 years experience in this capacity. Mr. Clay turned Pro in 1972 and became a member of the PGA in 1977. He became a Quarter Century member of the PGA in 2002. He was an Assistant Pro at Shady Oaks Country Club in Ft. Worth, Texas in the mid 70's and became Head Pro at Woodlake in 1978. John left Woodlake to become the Director of Golf and the Club Manager of Northcliffe Golf Club in 1985. In 2000 he became the Golf Operations Manager for the City of San Antonio overseeing seven municipal courses. In June of 2004, he formed a group and purchased Woodlake Golf Club and now acts as The Director of Golf and General Manager. John currently hosts a weekly radio show on ESPN (AM 1250) called The South Texas Golf Show airing from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. every Saturday morning. Lesson Rates Private Instruction:
$50 per hour; 3 lesson series--$125; 5 lesson series--$195
